Join us on March 12, at 1 p.m. ET, for a webinar discussing the new Wi-Fi deployments at NASCAR race tracks around the U.S. Moderated by me, the panel will include representatives from NASCAR, Verizon, and Extreme Networks.
UPDATE: You can listen to a recording of the webinar here.
Register here for the free webinar, which will explore NASCAR’s aggressive digital transformation strategy designed to enhance engagement with loyal race attendees, attract new fans, drive sponsorship opportunities and foster future growth. The centerpiece of NASCAR’s plan included a massive network upgrade at all tracks. Join us as we talk to all the partners about the why and how of this huge undertaking, and how it has improved both the fan experience as well as the operational bottom line.
If you’ve had the time to download our 2023 Stadium Connectivity Outlook Survey, you know that 59 percent of our venue technology professional respondents said one of their top priorities in 2024 was improving connectivity for fans. Another 53 percent said they would be making changes to improve wireless connectivity at their facilities in the next 12-18 months. But few, we are guessing, will be tackling projects of the size and scope that confronted NASCAR.
Speakers for the webinar include John Martin, vice president for media and event technology at NASCAR; Wyatt Hicks, vice president of digital at NASCAR; Kevin Wittnebert, director of venues, sports and entertainment for Extreme Networks; and Brian Gorney, senior managing director of U.S. sports for Verizon. Yours truly will be asking the questions.
Again, you can register here for the webinar, which takes place live at 1 p.m. Eastern Time (U.S.) on Tuesday, March 12.
