PNC Arena, home of the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, has added 12 of MatSing’s spherical lens antennas to increase cellular coverage of the main bowl seating area in the 18,680-seat arena, according to a release from MatSing.
According to MatSing, the new antennas are live for the just-started NHL season, and will provide low-band and mid-band connectivity for not just the hockey seating area, but also to floor seats for concerts and other events.
MatSing says it uses patented lightweight “metamaterials” in its unique antenna designs to bring high performance to its lens multi-beam antennas. Hear more about the origin and recent success of MatSing antennas in our recent Stadium Tech Report podcast with MatSing’s leadership.
